The Perfect Nude for Dark Lips

Nude lipsticks are such a classic piece. Whatever the season, whatever your age, you can never.go.wrong. HOWEVER, finding the perfect shade for the lips that are dark is like finding a needle in a haystack (voice in head: that's too far!). Whenever you ask for a nude lipstick for yourself, they give you shades which pretty much look like this:

Any who, we, the beautiful brown girls with dark lips are in complete awe when we see other chicks rocking their nude shades. Then why to stop ourselves, all we need is the perfect nude shade for our pretty lips.

Alright, just to make clear, I am not a Beauty Guru, nope, not even close, but from what I have experienced, most nudes that we are shown have this white-ish to yellowish base which when applied looks pretty much like the picture above (again, I am very sorry for doing this to you Mr. Symonds, but this is for a good cause so please co-operate.)

A quick FYI, there are various shades of Nudes depending on the skin tone. And thus, all my Princess Moanas out there, don't fall for the 'one nude shade suits all' trap, n-ah! You are unique and so is your shade of nude.

So, from what I have experimented on my lips, Mauve-ish shades come out really really well on dark lips. It covers the dark areas of the lips and make it blend with the lighter parts of the lip and it looks SO GOOD. It boosts my confidence and takes altogether to a new level. You know, when people say that a good outfit can elevate your mood and confidence, it is exactly what happens with me when I apply this shade, hands down!

Ladies, you may not find a perfect soul mate but you can definitely find your perfect nude shade mate (if that makes sense). And once you do, You'll be the happiest person ever, trust me.
